Great Jetski Trips Around Australia

One of the best ways to get out and see Australia is by water, and an even better way to see it by water is to see it by jet ski. If you’re looking for the ultimate jet ski adventure, then venturing around Australia with your jet ski attached to your travels is the adventure for you. Whether you’re an entry-level rider or experienced on the waves, there are plenty of places around the country that you can visit with your WaveRunner.
First up is without doubt the Gold Coast. One of the best places to jet ski, with its winding canals and endless summer days. It’s also a perfect place to visit in winter, as the water is still warm, and the sky is still blue and crisp. Take your jet ski out to the Broadwater and enjoy every aspect that this incredible place gives you.

From the Gold Coast, travel south to the South Coast of New South Wales to visit the coastal regions in Kiama, Shoalhaven and down to Batemans Bay. This whole region is a never-ending jet ski playground of crystal blue waters and bays and inlets to discover. This place will have you extending your trip around by a few extra days just to continue your cruising days.

As you’re already heading down south, why not stop into Lake Burrinjuck, about an hour’s drive outside Canberra. A popular spot among discerning recreational jet ski riders, it’s got powered and unpowered camping sites, a swimming pool, kiosk BBQ facilities and even a tennis court on site. Not that you’ll probably want to make a whole lot of use for those with the lake to explore.
Wander down further into Victoria and into the Gippsland Lakes system. One of the largest tidal waterways in Australia, they stretch from Sale to Lakes Entrance and have too many places to explore in one sitting. Ninety Mile Beach also calls this system home, which is a perfect spot to take in the uninterrupted beaches and perhaps even spot some marine life from your cruiser.
Head across to South Australia and if you want to give yourself a jet ski adventure of a lifetime, plan your own jet ski ocean safari around Kangaroo Island. The crossing itself is fun and great for amateur or experienced jet ski cruisers, with the bonus of setting yourself up for the day at the island itself for some perfect wildlife viewing.

Shoot over to Western Australia and from there, shoot over to Rottnest. A quick 15-to-20-minute journey on the ski, you can cruise around the island and stop in one of the bays for a lunchtime selfie with the island’s resident Quokkas. North-Western Australia holds the promise of the clear blue waters and incredible red dirt of Broome. Take your jet ski out for a cruise in these coastal waters and enjoy the views back at the coastline cliffs.
The Northern Territory is a thriving place to take your wave runner, with Manton Dam one of the more popular places to head to for some thrills on your watercraft. The Top End has some great places to visit, but before you head out remember to check if it’s safe to swim or cruise around as the places you want to avoid are the places that have crocodiles.
Finally, you’ve made your way back across to Tropical North Queensland, and here you can find some beautiful places to ski. From Port Douglas and the Daintree to Palm Cove and further south to the white waters of Tully, there is a never-ending journey of discovery in your jet ski around TNQ.

So, if you’re planning a trip around this stunning country and you’re looking for the best ways to see it, look no further than your Yamaha. She’s ready and waiting to take you on all the adventures you could want.
